Outdoor Teak Tables: The Right Size for the Garden Party

How many chairs fit around one table? Summer time is garden time. In the warm season, people are drawn to the outdoors, regardless of whether they have their own garden, a terrace behind the house, or just a balcony. At weekends, barbecues are organised and acquaintances, friends and family members are invited. Having the right-sized garden table determines whether the participation of all guests in the social gathering is possible. In our assortment of teak garden furniture, you will find tables of various dimensions. While a garden table with a square tabletop measuring 80 x 80 cm can only accommodate two people, a long table measuring 400 x 100 cm can accommodate up to 18 people. Of course, our summertime stock also contains all the sizes ranging between those.

Special accents with round garden tables

A round garden table made of solid teak wood conjures up a very special atmosphere in the outdoor area. Garden tables with round tabletops are less common than the rectangular version. That is why these models are hugely popular with individualists. In the assortment of Souren Furniture, you will find round teak garden tables in various sizes. The diameters range from 100 cm to 180 cm. All models are available with smooth and rustic finishes. A round teak table with a diameter of 100 cm can comfortably accommodate 3 people. In the largest version (180 cm), a maximum of 10 people can sit together around the table for a meal.

Which size suits me best?

When choosing a new table, you might ask yourself the following questions: Which size suits me best? And at least as important: how many people fit around the table that I want? If you want the same dimensions as your old table, you can, of course, quickly arrive at an answer. However, most people choose different dimensions, e.g. after a renovation or a move. We will be happy to advise you personally, to help you along the way.

The most important thing is to first visualise where the table will stand. You can put a piece of cardboard on your current table to see how big the desired dimensions really are - and whether you like it or not. We recommend that you do not place the piece of cardboard on the floor, as this could create a false impression. Of course you can also slide two tables together to see what the new dimensions would look like.

Of course we are also happy to advise you on how many chairs can fit round your new table. To make these estimates, we assume the chairs are +/- 45cm wide without armrests.
